  33. After reading the story, The Little Refugee, write a little reflection about how you felt after you read the story?
I felt really sad for Anh Do because of his trip and his loneliness in school and his trip to Australia but I felt happy when Anh Do made new friends.

What was the best/worst part of the story? Why?
The best part of the story is when the pirate thre w the bottle of water to Anh Do’s family and neighbours. I also liked when Anh Do was rewarded class captain and when he went to the new boy and played with him. The worst part was when the pirates robbed the refugees gold and almost threw a baby of board. Another bad moment is when Anh Do started school and was really lonely.

What was the author’s purpose of writing the book?
I think Anh Do’s purpose of writing this book is to show how hard it is to be a refugee and to show that anyone can become anything if they try. I also think it’s because Anh Do wanted us [children] what happened in his lifetime .

Has the book helped in any way? Have you changed after reading this book? Explain.
